Alohilani Hotel

The interior design of Alohilani Hotel's lobby in Waikiki captures the essence of a tropical oasis while seamlessly blending modern sophistication. From the lush greenery and water features to the use of natural materials and island-inspired artwork, every detail is carefully curated to provide guests with an unforgettable experience that celebrates Hawaii's beauty and culture. Its beautiful and welcoming décor is exactly why I chose it as our destination inspiration.

Natural Materials

This design incorporates a variety of natural materials to evoke a sense of coastal living. Polished wood accents, such as espresso hand finished wood and walnut finishes, can be found in the furniture, lighting, and even the artwork frames. These elements bring warmth and a connection, while also providing a touch of sophistication.

Earth-Toned Color Palette

The color palette is carefully curated to evoke the essence of a coastal escape. Sandy beiges and warm neutrals mimic the hues of rustic beaches.  Saddle brown leather and various shades of gray add a layered richness to the design.  Decorative accents and artworks in neutral tones keep this space feeling calm.

Lighting Design

Lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood and ambiance of this living room. Soft, warm lighting fixtures, such as chandeliers and floor lamps, create an intimate and cozy setting during the evenings. During the day, ample natural light floods the space, further emphasizing the coastal vibes and creating a welcoming and bright atmosphere.  You’ll notice the trio of woven chandeliers for an impactful lighting moment.  It is a perfect way to anchor the space and create a wow feature within the room.
