Create a Designer Christmas Décor Scheme

The holiday season is a time for joy, celebration, and of course, decorating your home with festive cheer. If you're looking to elevate your Christmas decor and embrace a timeless, natural aesthetic, a designer neutral Christmas theme might be the perfect choice. This style combines sophistication and simplicity, allowing you to create a warm and inviting atmosphere while keeping things elegantly understated.

The neutral Christmas theme is all about embracing the beauty of simplicity, nature, and elegance. Incorporating a neutral color palette, natural materials, and a touch of personalization, you can create a warm and inviting holiday atmosphere that captures the true spirit of the season.

I’ve rounded up a list of everything you need to create a neutral pallet Christmas scheme.  You probably already own many of the items needed for this neutral color scheme.  From year to year I switch up my décor just slightly to reflect the vibe I’m into that year.  I may introduce a new color of ornaments or ribbon colors (this year I’m loving mustards, muted, earthy greens, and bronze), or wrapping paper color scheme to change up the look.  Some years I go maximalist and put EVERYTHING out! Other times I go for a muted sprinkling of Christmas. It all depends on how I’m feeling that year. Don’t feel like you have to stick with your exact Christmas theme each year. Experiment, edit, add…it’s all up to you!

Simple ideas like popping garland on a table surface with a few candle sticks mixed in (pro tip: mix real and faux garland or branches for a luxe look), placing some small trees mixed with your regular shelf décor, or adding simple modern wreaths are just a few of my favorite ways to add a small festive dose to your space.

Also don’t forget the lights!! Candle light (lots of candle light) and twinkle lights add the ultimate warm ambiance. Choose warm light colors for that soft, cozy glow (avoid harsh bright white lights if you can).

So, gather your family and friends, put on some cozy sweaters, and enjoy the serene and elevated ambiance of your designer neutral Christmas. Happy decorating!
