Elevate Your Sanctuary

Project: Pink Cabana

Welcome back to Project Pink Cabana! Here we unveil the next phase of our exquisite family home project. Last week, we showcased an elevated family space and two delightful teen bedrooms. If you missed it, don't fret! Make sure to catch up because you won’t want to miss out.

Today, we delve into the heart of the home, the primary bedroom and bathroom, embracing the captivating Pink Cabana palette. As I envisioned the perfect sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation, I found myself drawn to a serene, minimalistic approach that didn’t quite fit the Pink Cabana aesthetic. However, I couldn't resist exploring a more adventurous option as well, ultimately leaving the choice up to you.

Primary Bedroom #1

Let's start with the minimalistic, tonal primary bedroom. The design was inspired by a magnificent gold chandelier, serving as the centerpiece of the room. This opulent fixture infuses a touch of luxury, while remaining harmonious with the Pink Cabana color palette. Subtle hints of pink are introduced through carefully curated artwork and a plush rug, while the remaining elements embrace a tonal and textured aesthetic. Creamy grass cloth wallpaper, a cozy cotton headboard, and inviting woven chairs add layers of texture and warmth. And let's not forget those breathtaking table lamps! Their exquisite design perfectly exemplifies how minimalism can exude a luxurious ambiance when paired with well-chosen pieces.

Primary Bedroom #2

Now, let's explore our second primary bedroom, where playfulness takes center stage. Prepare to be captivated by the Kelly Wearstler wallpaper that adorns the walls. This striking wall treatment can be applied throughout the room for a truly dramatic effect, or limited to the bed wall to create a captivating feature, complemented by a serene creamy white grasscloth for the remaining space. The choice is yours, depending on the level of boldness you seek to embrace.

Once again, we've chosen the sophisticated and cozy Ever Slipcovered bed by Leanne Ford from Crate and Barrel. The curved black dresser adds a touch of elegance, while the charming woven wall sconces provide a whimsical flair. With delightful nods to the Pink Cabana aesthetic through the ratan accent chair, green wallpaper, woven sconces, and palm artwork, this moody room is destined to become a refuge at the end of a long day.

Primary Bathroom

Turning our attention to the primary bathroom, we aimed to create a space that exudes both luxury and tranquility. Marble takes center stage in this opulent oasis, with a marble vanity, marble soaking tub, and even marble baseboards, enveloping you in a cocoon of pure indulgence.  Leave it to Etsy to source exquisite pieces from talented artisans who specialize in creating stunning marble designs. If you're envisioning these elements in your own home, feel free to mix and match marble materials, as long as the tones and colors harmonize with each other and your chosen wall tiles. To add a touch of pattern, we incorporated a mosaic tile featuring hints of emerald, tan, and white. For balance and visual respite, square porcelain tiles were used to create a soothing backdrop.

As you explore the immersive primary bath, you'll notice the inclusion of free-standing storage in this design. It's important to note that while this choice may not be practical for smaller homes, there are alternative solutions, such as incorporating drawers beneath the marble surfaces instead of opting for a floating look, as featured here.

Option 1 or Option 2

Now, it's time for your opinion. Which primary bedroom design speaks to your soul? Are you captivated by the calming minimalism and tonal elegance or drawn to the bold and playful atmosphere? Cast your vote and let me know.
