Beachside Bedroom ideas

When you think of a coastal inspired bedroom, what comes to mind? Perhaps you imagine the sound of waves crashing against the shore, or the smell of salty sea air. Whatever it is, there's something undeniably tranquil about a coastal aesthetic. If you're looking to bring some vacation vibes into your own home, consider the three designs we created inspired by coast.

One of the easiest ways to infuse a coastal vibe into your bedroom is with a color palette that mimics the natural surroundings of the coast. Think soft, earthy tones like sandy beige, warm browns, and a touch of sunset blush.  Soothing colors create a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

Room 1 - Primary Bedroom

Contemporary coastal décor is all about natural, organic materials like wood, rattan, and linen. For a truly coastal-inspired bedroom, incorporate plenty of these textures into your decor. One great way to do this is with large woven pendants. These statement lighting fixtures are perfect for adding texture and visual impact to your space.  Pendants in natural materials like rattan or bamboo create a bohemian, beach vibe.

Room 2 - Guest Bedroom

For the “guest bedroom” we combined the clean lines of mid-century modern design and the natural, organic feel of coastal décor.  By blending these two design styles, you can create a bedroom that feels fresh, inviting, and totally unique. This design would also be great for a kid or teen room.  Just add some playful art work in muted tones and a fun throw.

We added a few statement pieces that incorporate elements of both styles.  A natural wood headboard with a leather cushion was paired with a sleek midcentury modern dresser.  Organic shapes like upholstered stools, wood side table and this incredibly fun curved chair keep the space from being too modern.  The muted tones added in linen bedding and natural fabric tie in the coastal pallet.

Room 3- Home Office/ Guest Room

For our third room design we created a home office you’d love to spend time in.  We added a gorgeous wallpaper design, which is perfect for a low traffic area.  We also added this mini couch that can be transformed to a single sleeping space by adding linen sheets.  The marble sconces, woven rug and textured side table complete the space.

I hope you enjoyed these bedrooms that feel both timeless and fresh. With a little bit of creativity and attention to detail, you can create a space that leaves you feeling relaxed and inspired! Comment below if you would like us to send you the links for these items.
