Beachside Design Inspiration Project: Coquina

Inspiration

Our latest interior design inspiration comes from Coquina Beach Bar at the Ritz Carlton. An oceanfront restaurant and bar in Amelia Island, Florida. Vibes from Tulum and Bali are incorporated into this coastal design. We were particularly inspired by the straw pendant lights, tan leather banquette seating, white upholstery and plaster hardscapes.  Sipping on a habanero margarita while listening to the ocean made us long for a piece of this space in our own home.

THe Concept

The Coquina project is inspired by textural materials and a sea oat and sand dune color pallet. Woven materials add texture and interest to this neutral yet never boring space. Plaster adds another textural layer to the space. A layer of soft sheer curtains for that breezy vacation vibe. Art work featuring abstract sunset hues and additional woven details bring subtle color to the space. We especially love the organic formed shelf to house found objects from travels near and far.

Subtle, Breezy, Elegant

Our color pallet suggestions for the Coquina project includes:

Super White - Benjamin Moore (perfect cool white backdrop)

Tissue Pink- Benjamin Moore (accent with touches of this blushy pink on art)

Stone Hearth - Benjamin Moore (great for accent doors and trim)
