Amelia Island Mini Travel Guide
If you’ve never traveled to Amelia Island, Florida put it on your destination list! Amelia is very different from a lot of popular Florida beach destinations, you can find miles of untouched rugged beaches, bike trails galore and wonderful restaurants. What more do you need!!
This mini guide is heavy on Ritz Carlton recommendations. Mainly because once you are on property you’ll never want to leave. Even if you aren’t staying at the hotel, pop in for a margarita the beach bar Coquina. It is has such great vibe that we had to include it as our first room-design inspiration post.
To Do
Take sunset horseback ride along the powdery sand
Kayak the estuaries along this barrier island
Enjoy the holiday season with a Dickens Christmas in nearby Fernandina, the giant gingerbread pirate ship in the Ritz Lobby, or a special tea with Santa.
To Eat
Salt- A truly spectacular dining experience located inside the Ritz Carlton
The Lobby Bar-Enjoy amazing sushi and a Smokey Old Fashioned overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
Cucina South-Years of experience culminated with a passion for Italian food
Miles of Bike Paths- Unique scenic views of Amelia’s coastal landscape. Click on the link for more information on trails and places to rent bicycles. This is one of my absolute favorite things to do on Amelia Island!
